Success at Doncaster for Under 14s

Hillmorton under 14s were invited to the West End Bentley nine-a-side festival to take on the best Doncaster had to offer.

After the long journey to Doncaster the Leicester Road side topped the group, winning all six games to set up a semi-final against a strong Moorlands Stingers.

The game somehow went to penalties after finishing 0-0. Hillmorton won 5-4 in the shoot out, goalkeeper Archie Donaldson with the winning penalty to send the Rug by side into the final to face Townmoor Tigers.

The final was settled by a right-footed rocket from 20 yards by Kyle Chalnor. Townmoor came close to drawing level, only for Donaldson to tip the shot onto the post.

So another title for the Leicester Road side, who ended with a record of: Games played eight, won eight, goals for 16 and goals against 0. A cracking day out the lads, who performed to their highest ability.
