Jasmine leads new team to success
A mixed under 10s / 11s Rugby Town Girls FC team, played in the Southam Tournament on Saturday. Jasmine Morris, in her first team manager role in her life, brought together a group of girls who had never played together due to being in different teams during the season.
All the players played some great football and it was great to hear comments from other managers and referees on the day complimenting them, a credit to the young coaches at the club.
Cosby, East Goscot, Southam and Whitnash were the other teams in the tournament.
Rugby came top of the group with only one goal against all day and no games lost, before going into the semi finals and finals. In the final Rugby could not turn their chances into a goal and the game ended 0-0. The penalty shoot out saw all the players score theirs and the keeper saving all but one. A total team footballing performance to win on the day.
