Victory at Towcester Town tournament

It was third time lucky for Bilton Ajax Whites who were crowned Under 10 Plate Winners last Saturday at the Towcester Town Tournament. The boys had been knocked out of their last two tournaments at the semi-final stages.

The Ajax boys played seven group games and qualified comfortably having drawn five, lost one and won one courtesy of James Patrick and Charlie Holdsworth.

This took them through to the semi where they came up against Southside Raiders. Nine minutes later and the result was a draw so penalties followed.

Jack Billington stepped up first and nailed his, Chas Cook followed suit, topped off by Joseph East burying his in the top corner. Southside were denied any goals from the three penalties they took due to some super saves by Blayze Kenny-Costello.

The boys met Olney in the final in a game where they dominated but due to some great keeping from the Olney keeper only managed to find the back of the net once, thanks to a Chas Cook goal.

The boys gave it their all and really deserved their title. A super end to a successful season.
