Boys show respect on Remembrance Day

Coventry Minor League:

U11s Division C: Chapelfield Colts 5 Eastlands 3: Eastlands continue to display Jekyll and Hyde tendencies , so vastly different from their last outing when they scored five without reply, this week they conceded five goals in a game they should easily have won.

With a bare 11 players Eastlands were furthered hampered through the loss of keeper Jake Hope to a leg injury and played most of the first half with ten players. The home side scored three times in the first half but goals from Bailey Coblenz and Flav Marian ensured the visitors were well in contention at the interval.

Chapelfields further extended their lead, before Coblenz again reduced the deficit to one with a well taken solo effort. Eastlands could not stem the home sides advances and succumbed to a fifth goal with minutes to go and were left to reflect on a missed opportunity to collect three valuable points.
