After again failing to impress against fellow promotion rivals last weekend, Rugby Town face two more league fixtures over the coming week – first hosting mid-table Marlow on Saturday, before travelling to Leighton next Tuesday evening.

Dunstable were the latest side to expose Town’s spasmodic frailties in a 3-0 defeat, and boss Dave Stringer will need to address his side’s poor form against the teams around them at the top if they are to finally succeed in their attempt at returning to the Calor League Premier Division.

Valley went out of the League Cup on Monday night, narrowly losing 3-2 at Redditch United.
