Valley second in the table and ready for Tuesday’s home play-off v Slough (ko 7.45pm)

Rugby Town beat AFC Hayes 6-0 on Saturday, but were left second in the table when Dunstable also won their final game, 1-0 against Uxbridge to take the automatic promotion spot.

Rugby’s fine performance saw four goals for David Kolodynski and singles by Seb Lake-Gaskin and Justin Marsden.

In other results affecting the play-off places, Daventry Town lost 1-0 to Chalfont St Peter, kettering beat North Greenford 3-2 and Slough beat Chertsey 1-0.
