Fantastic season for league and cup champions

Rugby Town JFC Under U21s attended the Midland Football League awards night at Walsall FC last Saturday and came away with all the awards in the U21 Category.

Chay Thompson also won Manager of the Year.

Charlie Cook won the golden boot for the division, scoring 43 goals and narrowly missed out on top scored for the league by one goal to Basford United’s Ruben Wiggins-Thomas, who will face Rugby Town FC next season as Champions of the Midland Football League Premier Division.

Winners of the U21 Championship and the League Challenge Urn Cup, they also scooped Team of the Month for April/May.

The team played 16 games winning 12, drawing 2 and losing 2, scoring 60 goals and conceding just 19.
