Lucky Valley through to next round tie with Corby Town

Rugby Town won their opening game in this season’s FA Cup on Saturday 1-0, setting up a home tie against Corby in the next round.

David Kolodynski’s goal in the 82nd minute was enough to beat Bromsgrove, who will be disappointed having been the better side on the day.

It had looked like the Butlin Road tie was heading for a replay when Rugby sub Daryll Thomas combined with Kolodynski to snatch the win, manager James Jepson’s first in charge of the club.
