Valley win 3-0 at Bedford

Rugby made it five wins in a row at Bedford on Saturday, with two goals from new striker Richard Gregory and one from Seb Lake-Gaskin.

Gregory’s goals in the 23rd and 27th minutes gave Town a comfortable advantage over Bedford, now 18th in the table, going in to the break. And sub Lake-Gaskin, returning from injury, made sure of things in the 83rd.

Town are now fourth in the Evo-Stik Southern League Division One Central on 50 points, but have played two more games than leaders Kettering on 55 and one more than second placed Aylesbury (53) and Bedworth United (52).

Tomorrow (Tuesday) Rugby travel to Premier division side Biggleswade at the third attempt, after two postponements for a waterlogged pitch. The hosts are currently 17th in their table. The Red Insure Cup game kicks off at 7.45pm.
