Valley travel to St Ives, hoping to get their play-off chase back on track

Fourth-placed Rugby Town have a trip tonight to St Ives Town, who are eighth in the Evostik Southern League Central Division One.

It’s a game rearranged after the bad weather at the end of January and will see Valley determined to bounce back after Saturday’s defeat at the hands of mid-table Potters Bar.

Rugby are currently in one of the play-off spots and need to keep it that way if they are going to win promotion at the third attempt. They have been Central Division runners-up for the past two seasons, but both times lost out in the play-offs.

St Ives are 13 points behind, with just an outside chance of making the top five.

The game at St Ives kicks off at 7.45pm.
