Valley beat struggling Loughborough 4-1
Rugby Town moved up to 11th in the NPL South after beating relegation-threatened Loughborough Dynamo 4-1 at Butlin Road on Saturday, in a game which contained three penalties and saw the visitors reduced to ten men after 26 minutes.
Skipper Steve Towers gave Rugby a great start after just two minutes, before David Kolodynski stretched the lead from the penalty spot in the 26th and 34th minute.
Loughborough pulled one back with yet another penalty after 54 minutes and Callum Powell rounded things off 12 minutes from time for 4-1.
With just one defeat in the last nine games, Rugby now have 33 points, just three away from the play-off zone. Next weekend they face 18th-placed Gresley away from home.
