First point in six games

Rugby Town drew 0-0 with Stocksbridge Park Steels away from home on Saturday. After defeats in their last five league games, it was a very welcome point, which brings their total to five from the opening nine games this season.

Although they are still bottom of the NPL Division One South, Sheffield are just two points above and Rugby have two games in hand.

Under the guidance of new manager Gary Moran, Rugby Town’s latest game in Yorkshire saw a spirit display, although their attacking options were disrupted after 20 minutes when David Kolodynski departed with hamstring problems.

Valley have another league game tomorrow evening (Tuesday) at home to Market Drayton Town, kick off 7.45pm.
