Seb Lake-Gaskin’s penalty enough to secure the points

In front of a crown of 359 at Butlin Road on Saturday, Rugby Town beat St Ives Town 1-0, thanks to a 55th minute penalty by Seb Lake-Gaskin.

It’s still incredibly tight at the top of the Calor League Central Division with Rugby now in third place. Leaders Dunstable were beaten 2-0 by Kettering at the weekend, with Slough winning 5-0 at Ashford. Daventry also helped their play-off chances with a 2-1 win over struggling Leighton Town.

Rugby have just three games left to play, with Slough away on Saturday, Barton Rovers at home on Easter Monday and AFC Hayes away on April 26.
