Two first-half goals secure the points

Rugby Town won 2-0 at Sheffield on Saturday to stay in the mix for a play-off place. Their hosts, 18th in NPL South Division, helped Valley with an own goal after ten minutes.

But Rugby added one of their own through Callum Powell on 40 minutes.

With four games to go, Town are now seventh and still have an outside chance of making the fifth play-off spot. Town have 60 points from 38 games, with above them Lincoln on 67 and Chasetown on 64, both having played 39.

And in an interesting run-in, Town have three away games against third-place Coalville (Tuesday 12th), Chasetown (Saturday 16th), Lincoln (Tuesday 19th) and finish with second-placed Shaw Lane Aquaforce on Saturday 23rd.
