Lawford were crowned league champions for the third time in a row after a comfortable victory against the Barley Mow. They went ahead as early as the sixth minute when the league’s top goal-scorer Dildale Linton found the net.

Lawford put the Barley defence under some real pressure but after the early hiccup they were solid as a rock for most of the first period.

The Barley came close from a corner when the ball ran across the front of goal but no one was there to tap it in. Five minutes before half time Lawford won a corner and Curt Tailby headed home to make it 2-0 at the break.

In the second half another goal from Linton made it 3-0 then Jake Chater made it four and to round off the fight for the crown Halim Halim fired in a brace to make it 6-0 and the title was theirs with two games in hand. The runners-up are CRC on goal difference.

In the second division CRC Reserves comfortably beat Quigley’s 6-0. Callum Howling got them underway in the 14th minute with a close-range effort. Three minutes later it was 2-0 through Kyle Dawes. The third goal came from Howling. He walked round five players and then slotted the ball past the keeper for a truly super solo goal. In the second half Dawes doubled his tally, Matty Evans and Mitchell Elliott also added to round off an easy vistory.

On the Rocks finished their season off in real style beating the Avon Mill 11-2. Lloyd Senna hit 4, Patrick Walle and Andre James got a brace each and James Ward, Josh Davies and Adrian Cooke added singles.
