CRC are the new league champions, securing the title with games in hand. They got the three points needed with a 5-0 win against Athletico Belbao. Curtis Dickens, Kyle Taylor, Ben Cox, Josh Banton and Anton Dimario scored the goals.

The reigning champions lost their crown, despite beating the Barley Mow. They started well and went ahead as early as the third minute when Mitchell Boe fired in the bottom corner. The Barley Mow levelled a minute later from the penalty-spot. Sean Drake converting. Lawford came back at them and were on top for the next 20 minutes, in which they should have scored at least three times. It was against the play that the Barley took the lead with a break from defence followed by a cross which Drake slotted home to make it 2-1 on 25 minutes. Drake completed his hat-trick five minutes later when he found space in the box and slotted past the on-coming keeper. You may have thought it all over but again, like champions, Lawford hit back as Dildale Linton fired in from six yards out to make it 3-2 as they went into the break.

Early in the second half the Barley created some real chances to increase their lead but they weren’t taken. Lawford on the other hand kept pressing and were rewarded when Linton found the net to make it all square at 3-3. Late in the half he completed his hat-trick and secured the points for Lawford.

Braunston ended their campaign with a win against the Avon Mill. Martin Fincham scoring the only goal of the game.

We are now into the final stages of the cup competition and this is the draw, done on Tuesday night:

Hospital Cup semi-final draw: Barley Mow v CRC and Drayton Grange v Griffin both at Winfield

Advertiser Cup quarter-finals draw: Royal Oak v Avon Mill, Hollybush v Lawford both at Winfield.
