Rugby Town Junior Football Club are delighted to have secured an ongoing sponsorship deal with McDonald’s for the new Under 7s’ kit.

Also as part of the deal the club and McDonalds staff will work together on community initiatives. The first took place on Sunday when staff completed a litter pick at the club’s Kilsby Lane ground.

McDonald’s will also promote the club through its restaurants in Rugby as well as offering the Tangos Group a free Christmas and Summer Party.

Rugby Town JFC recently secured planning permission for a indoor sports hall and are delighted McDonald’s have expressed an interest in helping them to achieve that project.

U8s: Rugby Town Pumas v Kenilworth Wardens: Sponsored by Ball Packaging Europe: The first match this season was exciting and keenly played out between two evenly matched teams. At this age group they cannot report the result as development and fun are more important.

A full debut was awarded to Gabriel who nearly scored with a left footed drive! Charlie was asked to play defence for the first time and proved his worth with some good tackling.

Pumas scored some great team goals and Léo R showed some superb dribbling skills and continually troubled their defenders. All round an excellent start by all. Next week Pumas have their first Leicestershire Mutual League match at home; kick-off 10.30am at Kilsby Lane. Let’s hope we have a great season.
