GB team place won a current form

Kimberley Woods, Rugby Sports Personality 2012, was in action again over the Easter Weekend at Grandtully near Aberfeldy, Perthshire in Scotland in the second leg of the GB junior team selection event and double premier race.

Following on from her success in securing a first place and maximum points in both C1 and K1 categories at Bala in North Wales in the first leg, Kimberley again came first in both categories securing her place in the GB team for the European Championships in Slovenia and the world championships at Bourg in France with one more leg to go.

On the Saturday Kimberley put in two exceptionally fast runs in her K1 coming 1st in the under 18 selection race and 3rd overall in the premier division event.

She followed this with another 1st place in the C1 Category. On the Sunday the weather got colder and the event started with the temperature around 0. Kimberley managed a fast time in the K1 but hit a pole gaining a two second penalty added to her time, moving down the leader board to 6th place.

Similarly in the C1 Kimberley was the fastest down the course but had time added for touching a pole dropping her down to 3rd place.

Following the first four events of the season Kimberley is 5th in the National K1 rankings and 1st in the C1

Next weekend Kimberley races at Holme Pierrpont white water centre at Nottingham in the final GB junior selection race and the first two legs of the GB Under 23 and senior selection races
