WEATHER WINS: Frost and snow stops play

After our wonderfully mild winter, which has hardly hampered any fixtures, it all came to a rare stop this weekend.

Even Lions’ cover over the pitch couldn’t prevent the frost taking hold and Rugby Town’s trip to Biggleswade was also postponed.

The much-anticipated big derby day for Old Laurentians and Newbold at Fenley Field, will also have to be rearranged.

But there will still be plenty in Thursday’s Advertiser from all of your sports that carry on rain or shine!
