Connor ‘Hitman’ Hannifin notched up his third win on the trot boxing last Friday at Braunstone, Leicestershire.
He again showed great talent against unbeaten in six fights, up and coming prospect at 42kg, Riley Stoneham from Maidenhead.
Connor, 11, who boxes for Kings Heath ABC in Northampton and also trains at The George, Bilton ABC recorded the best performance of his short career in stopping Riley in the second round with lovely quick hand shots to the body and head.
Riley was a very strong boxer, but Connor’s speed put him on the back foot. The Avon Valley School pupil gave Riley a standing count at the start of the second round and half way through his pressure proved too much.
Afterwards the referee said he thought Connor, from Clifton had a big future ahead of him in boxing. He received the ‘boxer of the night’ trophy and is looking forward to his next fight.
