Success at Blisworth for Rugby & Northampton AC
After both team and individual successes at the Rugby 6 mile road race, Rugby and Northampton AC turned its attentions to the next race in the East Midlands Grand Prix series held over 5 miles at Blisworth.
The race was comfortably won by Toby Spencer of Coventry Godiva, in an impressive time of 25 mins 23 secs. The first R and N was Daniel Mould in a new personal best of 28 mins 20 secs. Close behind Daniel were Stephen Marks and John Gercs in 12th and 14th place respectively. A resurgent Alistair McDonnell was next placed R&N athlete in 28th place - just ducking under the 30-minute barrier for the first time. Alistair was chased home hard by Daniel Williams who finished a further 17 seconds behind. John Taylor recorded another new PB of 31mins 54 secs.

The team won both 2nd male team prize and 3rd male veterans prize.
