Invitation to Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Centre

The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Centre in Rugby will be holding a fun-packed badminton tournament for locals of all sporting abilities, on Sunday, June 21.

The centre, which is run by GLL, the charitable social enterprise that runs the leisure centre under its brand name Better, is hosting the tournament for locals aged 14 years and upwards and is encouraging everyone to join in the fun.

The tournament, which will see keen players and casual players alike participate. It takes place from 3-5pm, with prizes for everyone taking part, and promises to be a fun afternoon of fitness.

Commenting on the tournament, Georgia Barrett, Community Sport Manager said: “The aim of this social tournament is to provide an opportunity for badminton players to join in some light hearted matches. This is truly about taking part rather than winning.”
