TALENTED youngster Billy Stenger has taken a step closer to fulfilling his dream of being a ball-boy at the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals at London’s O2 arena in November.
Avon Valley School pupil Billy, 13, was successful at the Barclays Ball Kids regional trials at the Billesley Indoor Tennis Centre in Birmingham on Saturday.
Nearly 100 children took part and Billy showed impressive athleticism, agility, endurance, co-ordination, ball skills, balance, speed and team work to gain selection by the Barclays Ball Kids Talent ID Team.
He was extremely excited to be one of just five children who made it through to the next stage and was very happy indeed that he had performed well on the day.
The final 100 children from all the regional trials will compete in the final trial in London on April 28 when just 30 will be chosen for the big event.
