Success for fighters

Last weekend was a busy one for the Bakehouse Boxing and Martial Arts Gym.

Two boxers were at a show at the Rialto in Coundon Coventry. In a heavyweight bout Jake Watts used his boxing brain and skill to beat a Coventry boxer by a unanimous decision after twice dropping his opponent to the canvas in the first round.

Machiek Solita in his first ever bout, beat another Coventry boxer in the 2nd round after the referee stopped the fight. Machiek also floored his opponent in the first round and produced an excellent show of skills and was highly praised by all coaches and fans present.

Two other fighters were competing in a Mixed Martial Arts show in Leicester called ‘battle arena’ and both were making their debut. Danny Ollerenshaw and Carl Waudby both fought excellently, Danny winning in the second round and Carl winning in the third round.

Classes are held every night and Saturday mornings at the gym in Bakehouse Lane, New Bilton. There are children’s, adults and ladies only sessions. More information can on www.bakehousegym.co.uk or you can contact Lee on 07738 292318.
