Sell-out crowd enjoy club’s first event on Saturday

The first Bakehouse Boxing Show at the Benn Hall on Saturday was a massive success, with a sell-out crowd cheering on the local Rugby boxers.

The show also featured a heavyweight title fight between two experienced boxers Neil Tidman and Shaun Williams. There was also a cruiserweight title fight between Rugby’s Jake Watts, who outpointed a strong Ryan McDonald from Gormans Fight Club.

At middleweight there was also a title fight between Adrians Konrads from Bakehouse and Nathan Pitt, which after four rounds Pitt was declared the winner in a extremely close contest.

The fight of the night was a supermiddleweight fight between Pawel Pawloski from Bakehouse and Jay Sharkey from Coventry. Pawel fought gamely to come back after a hard first round to win on points and take the title.

The club would like to thank everyone involved in making the show such a success for the town and are grateful to sponsors Mister Robinsons, The Crow Pie, Oxygen Graphics, Apex Steel Fasteners and Southfields Construction, as without these the show would not have been possible.

They would also like to thank the Rugby Borough Council for supporting the event and being so helpful.
