On Monday Rugby Village Bridge Club celebrated their second anniversary and the refurbishment of the annex of the Dunchurch Sportsfield and Village Hall.

Paul Smith, chair of the Hall Trustees unveiled a plaque commemorating the new Club Room.

Part of the excellent Sportsfield and Village Hall Complex, the room has space for ten bridge tables; storage for equipment and a kitchen area with water heater, microwave, fridge and dishwasher.

The bridge club has four weekly events and teaching four times a week there during term time. Visitors Malcolm Oliver, board member of the English Bridge Union, and Darren Evetts, chair of Warwickshire Bridge, congratulated the trustees on excellent facilities they have provided for the community.

Nicky Cook, manager of the club, commented that it is a very pleasant playing and teaching space and everyone really enjoys the bridge there.
