Have your say

Rugby Sport for the Disabled crossbow shooters came away with prizes of Christmas Puddings at the annual ‘Pud Shoot’ held at the WADS club in Wolverhampton. This festive shoot attracted over 30 competitors.

Rob said: “I was delighted with my score of 585. It is by far the highest score I have achieved this year”. It was Graeme’s first competition away from Rugby and part of his bow was missing. Although he shoots a left-handed sports bow with a scope, he agreed to use Iris’s right-handed tournament bow and was amazed to score 483.

Archer Kevin Rumble has recently joined RSDA and was pleased with his result of 361. Unfortunately the weather and illness prevented other members going.

The results out of 600 were:

Assisted Tournament Crossbow

Ladies: Iris Bingham 1st 598 with 52 ring tens

Men: Rob Ledsham 1st 585 with 34 ring tens; Graeme Mooney 2nd 483 with 2 ring tens.

Archery: Kevin Rumble 3rd 361 with 2 tens.

The RSDA contingency came away with a hoard of raffle prizes.

On Saturday mornings at the Ken Marriott Leisure Centre, apart from the shooting, there are many sports for disabled people including Table Tennis, New Age Kurling, Boccia, Board Games, Darts, Pool, Swimming, Othello, Bagatelle and Dominoes.

In January we hope to hold our annual Superstars event and an inter-club Boccia competition.
