Try the annual Phil Cooke Ride

With the snow now rapidly clearing now is the ideal time to achieve your first objective for 2013 by taking part in the Phil Cooke Challenge Ride (in its 9th year) on February 24.

The website www.challengingtimes.org.uk is now taking entries and the places again this year are limited to 500 on a first come basis and last year all 500 places were taken and currently over 200 places are already registered.

As with last year the event profits go to Marie Curie Cancer Care and entries received before February 17 will be £10. Entries after this date including on event day (if there are still places left) will be £15, so if it is your intention to target this event ensure your place and pay less by entering as early as you can.

This year we are going to introduce a 50km distance from Towcester in addition to the 100km distance and at the new venue at the CIA Insurance Offices approx 1 mile from Dunchurch but on the circuit (details on the website www.challengingtimes.org.uk)

They are still having the familiar 100km and a slightly changed 50km distance, of course the route will be well marked and all entrants will have route sheets.
