Ted the youngest ever winner
The eighth Joe Spooner darts tournament was another great day.
Around 100 players of all ages and abilities took part, remembering Joe - who died when he was only 15 years old- and raising money for SADS UK and playing some quality darts.
Wendy Adams triumphed in the ladies competition beating Donna Cleverley in the final.
Ted Evetts showed real talent beating Terry Jones in the final and going on to win the overall title against Wendy. He is the youngest winner of the tournament so far and at 16 is sure to have bright future in darts ahead of him.
The organisers would like to thank The Workers who raised a fantastic £500 even before a dart was thrown and also to say a big thank you to tournament sponsor Bradley Electrical.
They are also very grateful to everyone who donated prizes and bottles, those who played, refereed, chalked and came to support, the day wouldn’t have been such a success without you.
When all auction pledges are in the day will have raised £2,639.
