Rugby Sub-Aqua club is enjoying a year of celebration, having reached its 40th birthday.
As part of the anniversary the club managed to get 40 club members together to all dive down to the wreck the Stanegarth situated at 20 metres at Stoney Cove Leicestershire at the same time.
The event was caught on camera and can be viewed on the website www.rugbydivers.org.uk
After all the divers had returned, the evening finished off with a meal in Nemo’s bar situated at Stoney Cove.
The Chairman Gerald Garner said: “It was a great social evening getting all the divers together. We had divers from the ages of 15 to 65 plus of mixed abilities.
“This shows it is a sport that can be enjoyed by all. As a club we have dives all around the UK and to many places over the world.
“Thanks must go to the management of Stoney Cove for allowing us to use the facilities and their help in organising the event.”
Future celebrations will be divers from the club diving on 40 different wrecks over the year.
If you are interested in joining the club, they meet at the Ken Marriott Leisure Centre on Monday evenings or you can contact secretary Michael May on 07763 592638.
