Rugby Gaels recorded an emphatic 13 point win against James Connollys at Páirc na hÉireann. Mike Cremin starred early on for Rugby when he scored a fine goal to add to 2 well taken points. Rugby had an early lead. Points from Alex Baalham Donaldson and Connor Shaw meant that Rugby went in at half time 5 points ahead. 1 goal and 6 points (9 points) to 4 points.

Connollys came back at Rugby strongly in the second half and lead by 1 point with 20 minutes to go. The Gaels fought back with 2 goals from Connor Shaw and a nice finish from Joe O’Brien to go into a big lead. Connollys got no joy out of a solid Rugby backline and when Lewis Fairgrieves burst through to score Rugby’s fifth goal the game was put to bed.
