GOLF: Golfers play for trophy in memory of Jim Beaumont - their pro for 46 years

Last Sunday Rugby Golf Club Mixed Section played the prestigious Jim Beaumont Trophy, donated in memory of a former Professional who served the club for 46 years until his retirement in 1968.

Normally played on Easter Monday this competition had to be rearranged due to bad weather.

The winners of the trophy for 2016 were Phil Turrell & Linda Long with 39 points. In second place were Thomas Waldron & Sarah Plant also with 39 points, while Keith & Hazel Oag came in 3rd with 38 points.
