Grateful for grant and donation

Rugby Gymnastics Club has been awarded a grant of £1,000 from Rugby Borough Council. They have also received £200 from the Spring Fair committee of the Rugby Dunsmore Rotary Club. Together the total will enable them to purchase a much needed extra competition beam for all the gymnasts to use. The Club is extremely grateful and the council and Rotary Club can be assured the money has been put to good use.

The Rugby Legacy Centre

Rugby Rokeby Lions Club have agreed to donate £1,500 towards the new facility the gym club are planning to build at Kilsby Lane, in conjunction with Rugby Town Junior Football and Rugby Town Squash Clubs. This new building will house a new gymnastics club, three squash courts and an indoor football facility. They are very grateful for this donation and hope that other organisations and commercial companies are able to help them build this iconic club for the benefit of everyone in Rugby.

Rugby Gymnastics Club – General Gymnastics Competition

Sunday, July 14 saw the club’s biggest ever entry into their General Gymnastics competition. With over 230 gymnasts competing both gym buildings needed to be used, with four rounds throughout the day. As the younger children started at 8.30am and the older ones competing through to 5pm, it was a very long day. The event ran smoothly and the gymnasts performed brilliantly, giving their parents and carers the opportunity to see how well they have progressed over the year. A big thank you to all the coaches, judges and volunteers who gave up their time to ensure a successful day – thank you!
