Record breaking Midlands’ selection

Seven senior Princethorpe College hockey players have earned selection to represent either the Nottingham or Birmingham Junior Regional Performance Squads, (JRPC). Princethorpe Girls’ Hockey has never been so strong.

Head of Girls’ Games Debs Brookes said: “We have girls from Years 8 through to 11 representing the Midlands. This is a fabulous achievement reflecting the hard work and consistent training that each of the players commits to. These girls are all round athletes with many of them championing the athletics track and the netball courts as well. Their high level of fitness is something that selectors commented on.”

In the U14s age category Emelia Fletcher’s quality skill set was recognised. In the U15s the fine quartet that is: Ella Bromley, Laura Humphreys, Mollie Hughes and Bethan Ellis have earned their selection. In the U16s Becky Redmile and Molly Brealey impressed Midlands’ talent scouts and in the U17s Emma Nobes has also gained her JRPC place.
