Harris School pupil James Webb has won the prestigious 2011 Midland Championship, after missing out last year.
On Saturday James won his first heat with some great over taking and out braking to finish the nine laps nearly two seconds clear.
On Sunday, needing full wet set-up, James found grip on the outside of the track and won his second heat by six seconds.
Back to dry-set up as conditions changed, James started his third heat from the back and finished second, setting the fastest lap.
James’s brilliant heat performances earned him pole position for the final. Twice he found himself down to third, but with two laps to go he regained the lead and defended it all the way to take first place and the accolade of Midland Champion.
James would like to thank Stuart at PSR race team, John Davis from Force motorsport, Indesit Company and DENSO for all the support over the weekend.
