Ready, Steady, Run! A popular running course for women to help them get fit and healthy will be launched for the third successive year in Rugby next month.

The 2011 Ready, Steady, Run course, organised in partnership between Rugby Borough Council and Rugby & Northampton Athletics Club, is a beginners jogging/running group where no experience is required.

The course, extremely successful in 2010, culminated in the second annual Ready, Steady, Fun Run in July.

The sessions are free to attend for any women over the age of 16, with places allocated on a first come first serve basis due to popularity.

Rugby & Northampton Athletics Club will provide trained coaches to lead the sessions.

Ready, Steady, Run 2011 will begin on Saturday, February 5, at the Ken Marriott Leisure Centre running track from 9.30am to 10.30am.

Places can be booked from 9.30am on Monday, January 10 through the online booking system at www.rugby.gov.uk/readysteadyrun.

Alternatively, if you cannot access the internet at the specified time, places can be booked through the contact centre at the council by calling (01788) 533777.
