Four members of the Rugby Lions Judo Club took part in a tough competition at Coventry Judo Club, with competitors from all over England.
First on the floor was Dylan Tuckey, who fought with passion and secured a bronze medal in his weight category.
Next up was Ben Cooper, who, faced with stiff competition fought with dogged determination to gain a bronze medal. Daniel Tuckey, in his first competition in the UK, was faced with strong opposition and managed to claim a bronze for his efforts. Ben Downing, who, when faced with fast and furious bouts stood his ground and achieved a bronze medal.
Coach of the Rugby Lions Judo Club, Darren Carwardine, was pleased with how well the lads did, and said: “Well done to all the lads who took part, they all did their best and it shows as they all came away with medals.”
