FIVE kickboxing students will be representing England in Canada later this year.
All members of Rugby’s G Force Centre for Martial Arts Excellence, they will be testing their skills against the best in the world.
They qualified with medal-winning performances at the WKC (World Kickboxing Council) British Championships 2012 held in Manchester on February 5.
The Wood Street club took 11 fighters and came away with two British titles (gold), two silvers and two bronze medals.
British champion 2012 in the men’s under 75kg was Gordon Burcham, the owner of G Force).
British champion 2012 in the girls under 35kg was Morgan Ansell.
Silvers were won in the Cadets 13-15yrs under 60kgs by Sam Bancroft and in the Veterans 42 years and over plus 85kgs by Adrian Marsh
In the Juniors 16-17yrs under 65kgs , Todd Williams won bronze as did Adrian Marsh in the Veterans 35years and over plus 85kgs.
All five fighters will be part of the England team at the WKC World Championships 2012 in Montreal, Canada later this year.
