Club celebrating six British Champions and six bronze medallists

G Force Fight Squad took 13 fighters to the ISKA National Championships in Solihull on Sunday, all showcasing their new tracksuits and fight suits.

The day produced six British Champions and six bronze medallists for the club, with everyone showing great team spirit.

Ellis Brightwell fought his way through four rounds to take gold in continuous.

Shannon Kennedy took gold in points and bravely stepped up a weight category to take a bronze medal, showing ace kicking in both.

Pierce Manning displayed great skills to win his continuous section and Assistant Chief Instructor Leigh Brown had good solid fights to take the win in points.

Matty Crossin made a return to the mats after a quiet year, taking bronze in both his points and continuous sections.

Stephen Wragg picked up a bronze in continuous as did mother and daughter Sam Cullen and Skye Bennett in points.

The best performance, however, came from Bobby Brannen, who was named Fighter of the Day by Sensei Gordon Burcham. With 23 fighters in his points category it was always going to be tough, but after displaying excellent skill through three rounds, he was triumphant. He followed this up with another win, this time in his continuous section where again he showed real class in a strong field.
