Bilton Grange girls finished third in National Netball Championships, winning bronze medals.
The girls’ first netball team, having successfully won the Eastern region round of the National Prep Schools (IAPS) Netball Championships, visited Roedean School on the South Coast for the National Finals of the championships this weekend.
Described by other coaches and umpires as ‘the team to beat’, the Bilton Grange Girls were unbeaten in the tournament so far. A gruelling series of matches resulted in the girls coming third overall, and only lost by one goal in one game, which was in the semi final against the eventual winners.
Head of Girls’ Games, Michelle Murray said: “Our girls played 20 games this tournament, and only lost one – this fantastic achievement has put Bilton Grange on the map with the team’s wonderful skill, team play and sportsmanship.”
