SwimFit and badminton
The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Centre in Rugby is launching several sport courses for teenagers and adults.
The leisure centre run by Better, the UK’s largest leisure provider, is providing fun and structured programmes for adult badminton and teenager swim sessions.
Starting on Wednesday 7 January, from 7:30pm to 8:30pm a new initiative called SwimFit will launch for teenagers which will be delivered by qualified Better- trained instructors. Inspired by the structure of a gym programme, the British Gas Swimfit initiative is a fun and effective way to get fit and tone up.
Starting on Friday 16 January, from 7.00-8.00pm an eight week badminton coach-led course will begin for people aged 16 plus. All participants will receive a free racquet alongside qualified support and guidance to improve their badminton skills.
Nicola Boyd, General Manager at The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Centre, said: “If you’ve been inspired to follow in the footsteps of Rebecca Adlington or Gail Emms, you too can achieve your health and fitness goals by coming along to our new Swimfit and Badminton sessions.”
