Rugby Bridge Club

There will be no hands this week (or next week) for you to pore over as John is on his hols, but here as usual are last week’s results.

On Tuesday the winning pairs were Debbie Welch and Terry Bradbury (62%)- he’s not that bad Debbie! followed by Helen Foster and Marion Dixon, Pam Southern and Ken Fernie.

On Wednesday Brian Richardson and Keith Lodge lead the field with a commendable 75%. Val Jones and David Edwards were second with Audrey and Ivan Upton third.

On Thursday Judith Kleiner and David Hicks were the winners with 62%, Alison and Peter Crowhurst were hard on their heels, ahead of Keith Langley and Ken Fernie (again!).

Clifton on Friday saw Anne Pettitt and Chris Malthouse first, Judith Kleiner (again!) and Rod Larter and Anne Carrington and Terry Bradbury(again!) taking the other places.

n Rugby Bridge Club Ltd is a well established independent, non-profit making, democratic, friendly organisation which welcomes players of all standards.

Beginners’ classes have now started at Clifton on Saturday morning and it is not too late to join.

If you have played in the dim and distant past and would like to get back into the game or if you are a rubber bridge player and would like to try duplicate, sessions are available to help.

The Wednesday session is specially designed for players who are not too confident and where experienced players are on hand to help. There are not too many places where you can have a good night out for £2.
