Club member Mike Hampton organised a very successful event introducing a new element, urban running around Kenilworth town streets adding to the Abbey Fields park race. This attracted competitors from around the midlands and visitors from Spain en route to the international Scottish 6 day event.

The new map drawn up by Mike was used for two courses, a 5.6k long and a 3.6k medium. Matt Halliday M20 easily won the long course taking 35.53mins, Tom Honniball M21 was 2nd in 41.56mins only one second ahead of Alan Segar M35 41.57mins. On the Urban medium course Stephanie Ellis-Gray was 1st in 34.33mins ahead of John Bowman M65 40.15mins and Jackie Stuart M55 44.59mins.
