Runners will take to the Barby-based course on Sunday

A record entry is expected for Rugby’s annual ten mile road race on Sunday, October 5. More than 150 runners have already entered and at least 250 are likely, making this year’s the biggest ever field.

Organised by Rugby & Northampton Athletics Club, the event includes the Warwickshire CAA Championship, Warwickshire Road Race League and Midland Masters Championship.

With the race headquarters at Barby Cricket Club, the start and finish are by the Arnold Arms in the village. The scenic, undulating course also takes in parts of Kilsby and Hillmorton, including Cart Hill after six miles.
