BROWNSOVER runner Sarah Fry has been shortlisted by Runners World for selection to the Paris Marathon.
Sarah is one of 22 hopefuls, five of which will be selected to be trained by top coaches, physios and nutritionists to reach their full running potential in the 2013 Paris Marathon.
Whether Sarah, 32, makes it to the final five depends on the result of a public vote on the Runners World forum.
Sarah, a member of Rugby & Northampton AC has been running for two years and completed her first marathon in October this year.
She hopes to run the Paris marathon in a time of 3 hours 35 and to share the tips and training she gets with her running club mates and friends.
However, Sarah says five years ago she was five stone overweight and a heavy smoker.
This all changed after she saw a photograph of herself and realised she needed to make some positive changes in her life and went on a diet and took up running.
She now runs 35 miles a week and has raised over £450 this year for Rainbows Hospice.
