Mini Red League

The final round of the Rugby A team saw William Moore, Joshua Hargrave, Charlotte Eaton and Ella Stuchbury play Stratford Lions. The team knew that the games were not going to be easy and all players were fired up. William was very controlled, maintaining his concentration throughout to win 10-3 and 10-5. Joshua had some great rallies in his first match but lost 5-10, his second he played brilliantly to win 10-8.

Charlotte gave a strong performance in her first match winning 10-6, in her second she fought hard and rallied well but narrowly lost 8-10. Ella had an epic first match which she won 10-9, her second was tougher which was lost 1-10. William and Joshua played well together, they remained focused and played tactically to win 10-7.

Charlotte and Ella’s game again came down to the last point, winning 10-9. With the team only losing one round, they wait to find out if they will proceed to the semi-final play-offs.

Mini Orange League

Last Saturday Joseph Green and William Moore had reached the last round of the leagues and were up against some of the strongest teams in Warwickshire.

They had done well to reach this stage as they were the only Rugby team left standing. First up was Hampton in Arden, Joey had a long three setter which he lost 3-7, 7-5, 5-7 and William lost his 5-7, 2-7.

Solihull were next, Joey had a tough game losing 1-7, 2-7, William played well to win his 7-4, 7-5. In the deciding doubles the boys tried hard but lost 4-7, 2-7. Last up was Kenilworth, Joey played a brilliant game against a very good player taking a set off him but losing overall 0-7, 7-6, 1-7.

William fought hard in his match narrowly losing the first set, the final score being 5-7, 2-7. Well done for being ambassadors for Rugby LTC and for reaching the final round.
