THERE’S still plenty of time to send in your entry for the best sporting achievements of 2010 and nominate worthy winners for Rugby’s annual awards.
Rugby Borough Council and the Rugby Advertiser have joined forces for the 16th time to recognise the best of sporting talent and dedication, supported by Rugby FM.
If you know someone who spends many hours coaching or volunteering in a sports club, or a talented individual who has had an especially good year, please send in a nomination.
They are welcome for successes and achievements between January 1 and December 31, 2010 and juniors are classed as aged 18 and under on August 31, 2011.
All applications will be judged by a panel and those shortlisted will be invited to attend the award ceremony on March 23, 2011. The deadline for entries is Monday, February 7.
Nomination forms are available from the Advertiser reception in Albert Street or by visiting www.rugby.gov.uk/sportsawards. Alternatively you can request a nomination form by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or telephoning (01788) 533748.
Advertiser editor Simon Steele said: “Rugby is a fantastic town for sport at all levels and our sports pages are full of talented individuals and successful teams.
“The quality and quantity of entries always makes this a tough task for the judges and we hope this year will be no different.”
