Youngsters bounce to victory
Two teams of trampolinists from Princethorpe College have hit the heights by winning the Year 8 and Year 9 Rugby District Trampolining Championships.
Under the supervision of Princethorpe Head of Girls’ Games Debs Brookes the squad performed superbly against five other schools. Both a set and skills routine were completed by each team member.
With points accrued for difficulty, technique and execution the eight gymnasts scored consistently to win their age groups.
Mrs Brookes said: “The girls have been working hard on their skills and this is where we had the upper edge on the competition. The results reflect the work that they put into their weekly training; they have made excellent progress and we are now looking forward to competing in the County final against Coventry and Solihull.”
