While bad weather continued to dominate weekend racing, two Rugby Junior Tri Club members still continue to win.

Skip Snelson and Ella Mae Fereday. In fact, in one of her races Ella Mae had completed a full triathlon before the organisers decided that the conditions were so bad and changed the event to an aquathlon (swim/run combination).

Results from The Black Country Junior Triathlon held on June 16 were:

Tri Start: 1 Ella-Mae Fereday 13.26. Tri Star 1: 1 Skip Snelson 7.11.

Tri Star 3: 8 Katie Clements 17.11.

Results for the Paul Weston Memorial triathlon held at Birmingham University on June 24 were:

Tri Start: 1 Ella-Mae Fereday 12.37; Tri Star 1: 1 Skip Snelson 17.44; 9 James Austin 22.10; 13 Luca Nitzsche Giles 26.18; 14 Cara McQuillan 28.42; 15 Anja Wyatt 29.31.

Tri Star 2: 19 Alex Harper 32.51; 14 Aidan Tombs 22.40.

Tri Star 3: 8 Katie Clements 36.40; 9 Francesca Austin 40.19.

Triathlon is three sports undertaken as one - swimming, cycling and running - if you are interested in taking part more information concerning the club’s adult and junior sections can be found at www.rugbytriathlon.org.uk. You can join in with the Junior Club at their Sunday training sessions at Rugby School and participate in any or all of the disciplines.
