Nine brave the frost at Wellingborough multi-terrain

Nine Rugby Tri Club members competed in the Wellingborough Multi-Terrain run race on Sunday, January 15, 2012, the first competitive outing of the year for most of the participants.

The best club performance came from Jane Needham who finished third in the female 15k race with a time of 1hr 4mins 48secs.

Other results were:

5k Mark Hazle 19mins 13secs and Adam Sheridan 21mins 20secs

10k John Austin 48mins 59secs, Josie Goodwin 51mins 55secs and Alex Leugs 58mins 27secs.

15k Jane Needham 1hr 4mins 48secs, Naomi Leugs 1hr 13mins 16secs, Carl Williams 1hr 20mins 16secs and Helen Childs 1hr 23mins 30secs.

This multi-terrain and multi-distance run race (5k, 10k or 15k) is the first in a series of three races to be held in January and February and is used by many to see how well their winter triathlon training programmes are going. Club members will also be competing at the next series race on February 5th.
